How much down time is there?
Your Skin may be sensitive for 1-4 days post peel. Cold water only to be used to avoid further irritation and sensitivity.
No active products (AHA’s, Retinol, Exfoliants, Vitamin C) can be used for 1-4 days, or until the skin has healed and is no longer sensitive
Healing Products for Recovery Period: Rejuvenating Serum, Skinstitut Moisturiser, Repair Balm and Perfect Protection to be used 1-4 days post peel
How many treatments will I need?
3-6 treatments every 2-4 weeks intervals, ensuring the skin has healed and there are no signs of adverse skin reactions. To maintain results, 1 single treatment every 4-6 weeks may be recommended.

How many treatments will I need?
Skinstitut Purple Peel may be required as a one off treatment or as a course of 3 (every 4-6 weeks) depending on the severity of the skin condition and the number of layers of peel applied.
Purple Peel may be applied after a Skinstitut Diamond Microdermabrasion by a Medical Practitioner only. This will result in a medium depth peel and must be performed under medical supervision.

For the majority of our peels, it is essential to prepare the skin at home by using good quality skincare products. Skinstitut homecare products are recommended to use at home to maximise skincare results and minimise any adverse reactions pre and post peel.

Your recovery time will be influenced by the type of peel treatment you’ve received and your individual skin’s response. Your Skin Care Specialist will have discussed with you the individual time frame you should expect
With the Purple Peel – Avoid water, heat and product application for 12hrs. Failure to do so may reactivate the peel and cause an adverse reaction. Repair Balm only to be used for 12hrs after Purple Peel.
